Economic Empowerment Soars in Nkangala District with Major Events Promoting Financial Literacy and Business Development
Mpumalanga, 28 May 2024 – The Nkangala District in Mpumalanga has taken significant strides towards economic empowerment and development through two landmark events that have equipped local entrepreneurs with vital financial skills and resources. The Financial Literacy training with Nedbank on 20 May and the Informal and Micro Business Enterprise Development Program (IMEDP) handover, in partnership with the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD), on 22 May, marked a new era of growth and opportunity for the region.
The Financial Literacy training, a powerful initiative by Nedbank and the Informal Economy Development Forum (IEDF), provided 185 entrepreneurs with crucial financial management skills. This training is set to transform their business operations and enhance their ability to secure funding, manage cash flow, and achieve long-term sustainability.
