IEDF Launches Matric 2024 Employment Readiness Program to Empower Youth and Fight Unemployment

15 April 2024 – The Informal Economy Development Forum (IEDF) proudly announces the launch of the Matric 2024 Employment Readiness Program, aimed at equipping current Matriculants with essential skills and opportunities for the year ahead. This comprehensive program focuses on training for work readiness, providing income-generating opportunities, assisting with CV drafting, and facilitating job placements through our dedicated portal.

The primary objective of this initiative is to empower current Matriculants to proactively prepare for their future, ensuring they are well-prepared for the workforce and reducing dependency on student finance. By participating in this program, students can lay a strong foundation for their careers, thereby avoiding potential financial constraints that may hinder their educational pursuits.

As part of our commitment to fostering educational advancement, the IEDF is pleased to announce the allocation of 10 million Rands worth of bursaries from the IEDF College. These bursaries will provide deserving students with access to quality education and valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Furthermore, high schools are invited to participate in this initiative and become beneficiaries of the program. By joining forces with the IEDF, schools can not only empower their students for future success but also generate additional income from every student of theirs that joins the program,  and build robust networks for ongoing support.
