Dear Comrades

Every business or organisation has a true north that guides them.  It is that star that lights the way for that business or organisation to ensure that they stay on the right path.

The true north of the IEDF is seeing every Informal Business and Micro Business GROW.

At our very recent awards evening, where we celebrated the graduation of 197 businesses that completed a W & R Seta training programme, in conjunction with the IEDF, we experienced our true north.

Seeing the growth and positive attitude of the participants, who completed a 5 week programme that could assist to take their businesses to the next level, provides us with a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

By holding hands with Government and the Corporate Sector, we are able to change the landscape and trajectory of our beautiful country.

We thank both the W & R Seta, as well as ABSA and DMG for your fantastic support for this event and look forward to future collaboration.

Irrespective of the challenges, as Entrepreneurs, we rise above and SOAR.

The last thought I would like to leave you with, is to always SOAR and never go to BED.

SOAR is an acronym for using your Skillset to take Ownership, Accountability and Responsibility.

BED is an acronym for Blame, Excuses and Denial.

Stay out of BED, but always SOAR!

Kind Regards
