The Nokwanda Patocka GBV Foundation’s vision is to create a safe and secure environment for all women, men and children with their mission to provide awareness and fight GBV by becoming a referral centre for victims, moulding young people through various programmes, and providing support to families of victims, so that people can live in a safe and secure environment.

After her sister was murdered, Asonele Melapi started the NPO to fight the scrounge of Gender Based Violence. She serves as the Founder and Chairperson of the Nokwanda Patocka GBV Foundation, Regional Secretary of the Women’s Sector Council, Eastern Cape Head Convenor for Baphi Abafazi Movement, Member of National Strategic Plan and IEDF Ambassador Eastern Cape.

On the 2nd June 2023 Nokwanda Patocka GBV Foundation in partnership with Nolusini Rural Development will be hosting an event from 11h00 till 13h00 at Sobi Primary School Qhaga Location to in aim of Childrens Protection week (29th May 2023 – 5 June 2023) to bring awareness that the life of a child is the future of our communities and this country.
