Amahlathi Local Municipality led by Portfolio Head Planning and Development Cllr Busisa Xongwana
Today Amahlathi Local Municipality led by Portfolio Head Planning and Development Cllr Busisa Xongwana entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Informal Economy Development Forum (IEDF). The purpose of IEDF is to assist informal and micro businesses to grow.
Central to IEDF is the issue of transformation innovation and creation of job opportunities. This is done in conjunction with other entities such as the Department of Labour, Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), Banks, National Youth Development Agency and others.
Today’s session which was well attended by the targeted group, and it dealt with the introduction of the program Amahlathi Informal Traders.
Councillors in attendance were Cllr Nomfuneko Salaze Ward 15, Cllr Nicholas Ncevu Ward 13 and Traditional Leader Ulana, indeed we intend to grow together in prosperity.
