Since our partnership with IEDF  which commenced in April 2022, the CCMA have conducted various capacity building interventions in the informal Sector, with a specific focus on transformation in workplaces. Our aim was to equip business owners with knowledge and skills to enhance workplace relations and for informal traders to have a better understanding of labour related matters. 

The sessions covered various topics, from sexual harassment in the workplace, dealing with dismissals, diversity and retrenchments. The highlight of the sessions conducted was the presentation of the BUSA Webtool, which allows the informal sector, stakeholders and social partners to access labour related information and resources at no cost. 

The CCMA is pleased to report that the training has been well received and continues to support the IEDF’s commitment towards training and development.  We are satisfied with the strides that have been made so far and It has been our privilege to support both employers and employees in their pursuit toward upholding the right to fair labour practices.
