Informal Economy Build Back Better launches in KZN

The IEDF would like to thank absolutely every stakeholder that made the Kwa Zulu Natal (Durban) IEBBB campaign such a resounding success. The event was attended by close to 500 informal traders, small business owners. The program included vote of thank speeches from our partner associations including Tumsa and Sadsawu. We are grateful to the corporate partners Absa & CellC for being amongst the partners and speakers who were assisting our informal traders with opening business bank accounts and also unveiling some of the exciting opportunities within the space that they are currently operating in. We remain humbled by the government officials and government entities that continue to support our initiatives and continued efforts to be on the ground and amongst the people. Attendees were intrigued by the talk given by our partners W&R Seta, IDC and the member of partnership honorable Faize Jacobs who is currently the Chief Whip of the Portfolio Committee of DSBD amongst other programs outlining the TREP program and emphasized the importance of getting services to our people
